Keep it OR bin it?

Hello my lovelies, the weather has been quite nice over the weekend hasn't it? I am currently sitting in the garden typing this all up, who would of thought it. I know Monday isn't everyone's favourite day, but to be honest that is why I chose to schedule my posts for a Monday to hopefully perk everyone up and make it a more enjoyable evening. So grab a beer, fill your wine glass up, grab some snacks and lets crack on with todays reading.

I just want to start off by saying how grateful I am, to everyone who is subscribed to my blog, following my blog Instagram account, sending me lovely messages, taking their time to read my posts and just being supportive of what I am doing. I started this blog over a year ago now and I have honestly come so far. I never used to publicise my blog posts, just purely because I was too nervous of what people were going to say and I was doing it for myself so it wasn't bothering me that people weren't reading it. I didn't start a blog for a University course or because it is the new thing, I started this because being a blogger is something I have always had an interest in - I just need a kick up the bum sometimes to get the ball rolling. Which is what I thankfully received from my family and friends, leading me to start sharing my posts on my Facebook and personal Instagram account. I was so shocked at how many views I was getting, which encouraged me to create an Instagram account just for my blog, so I could have that feeling of building up a community of people who support me and enjoy my content. I have just over 1,800 followers on my personal Instagram account which I could of taken advantage of, but I wanted to start a fresh and start its own journey - I do post updates of my blog on there though. Overall, it is going so well for me, better than I ever intended. I receive so many messages from different clothing/accessory brands wanting me to be an ambassador/collage with them for their company, so there is some exciting things to come. Then the most amazing thing happened, if you read my last blog post 'I just can't get enough', then you will know it was based on a blogger called Naomi Genes. I broadcasted my new blog post over my Instagram accounts as usual, I had tagged her in it of course. I would never of thought in a million years she would read it... BUT she did! I received a notification saying 'Naomi Genes has mentioned you in their story'... my heart sank!! I quote '!!! Thank you so much @elsblogx what a lovely post!!! This has made my week! Swipe up to read'... Can you believe it? She asked her 433K followers to read my blog? Naomi Genes read my blog??? I am so utterly thankful that she took her time to read it and then thank me for it, my work is being noticed and I am so happy it is unreal. And again, I thank you my loves, for supporting me and just taking time to read my posts. Now shall we actually crack on with todays blog?

There are so many different trends coming in and out of fashion, it is a constant cycle of fashion history. Some of the trends I fall in love with and some just need to put themselves in the bin. So I am going to discuss some trends I follow or love and some I just don't have a liking to and belong in PE lost property - if you know, you know. Im going to post pics of my fav bloggers in things I love and then just find a suitable pic for trends I dont find the best looking, if not I will just use clothing websites.

Cycling Shorts

I lovvvveeeeee this trend, I absolutely live in cycling shorts. I have them in cream, black and grey and I want more colours and patterns. They are such an easy wear, you can wear them casually with an oversized T or a crop top and trainers. You can also dress them up, with a pair of heels and even wear them to the gym. Perfect yeezy urban style, which is what I love. Kim K definitely started a good trend here.

Unitards

Although I love cycling shorts, I do not love a unitard I must admit. I think they look good for a rave or festival, but for a day to day basis I am not a fan. I honestly think it is a bit too much for the day time, yes you can argue they are so similar but in my opinion Im just not feeling it. I also dont have much to say about them, they are just quite a boring piece of clothing. IN DA BIN!

Basket Bags

I love every single thing about this outfit, EVERYTHING. It just all looks so good together. I will start with the bags first, I am a fan and Im not a fan. I do want to buy one, they have lovely basket bags in Zara. I prefer the square, boxy shaped bags compared to the dumpling style ones. However, I don't think they will be in trend for long and they are more of a seasonal thing. It is a very spring/summer style bag and you don't want to be flaunting that around at winter time when the snow is out. But I just want to say how much this outfit slays, the oversized shirt, tucked in on one side showing off a little bod. Against the white ripped shorts, making the shirt pop of colour - coordinating with her dumpling bag. Her Adidas trainers are a dream!!! I cannot tell you how much I want them and to re create this exact outfit. Maybe you will see me one day, in the same style as this and you will know where I got it from. There is always someone/something you get inspiration from.

Paperbag tie jeans/shorts

I love this trend, I have these exact pair of jeans and I love them. They are tagged on my Instagram account - @elsblogx. I love paperbag tie anyway as its own trend, now they have designed paperbag denim for jeans and shorts it is a game changer. Its so flattering and looks good with every outfit. I dont own a pair of paperbag denim shorts, but I would love a pair.

Underwear as Outerwear

I love the new underwear as outerwear trend, even to the extent of just wearing a bra/bralet. It looks so much more sexier in the day time than for the actual purpose, it just adds a little something more to the outfit and make it less boring. For example, the outfit above, I am instantly drawn to her lace bodysuit and then the rest of the outfit follows. This is a trend depending on how comfortable and confident you're showing a little bit of skin in the day time, which doesn't appeal to all people. I must admit I like it and am starting to piece outfits in my mind which work well together.

Under boob tops

I like this trend if it is executed well, it can look tarty.. just not my cup of tea. In this picture there is no need for there to be a show of under boob, getting the wrong attention no matter how good it may look. I have seen some girls pull off the under boob look well, with a classy dress or to a rave. But for a causal every day thing, I just think there is no need to be quite honest. Guess it will have to go in the bin huns, not the classiest of vibes.

Chunky trainers

I live for chunky trainers, ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM! I have wanted a pair of Fila Distributors for a while but ya girl hasn't got enough coin to go shopping, I spend my money on food, alcohol and holidays instead! They will be in my wardrobe soon though, I tell you that. I also want a pair of white chunky trainers from Topshop, they are a replica of these Balenciaga's - which are my dream pair of trainers. This trend isn't going anywhere near a bin.

Blazers

Cinzia has the perfect fashion sense ever!! I am in love with the blazer trend, I cannot wait to stock up this autumn/winter. They look so so so good with a jogger and a crop, exactly how she has paired it above. It looks so cool and I cant wait to live in joggers & blazers all winter. Blazers with cycling shorts or as a dress look so good too, oversized is the way forward.

Baker Boy hats

I loved a Baker boy hat, I ordered this exact one from Pretty Little Thing and it did not suit me what so ever! I just looked like a train driver and I wasn't a fan. However on others, I love them. If you want a Baker boy hat the exact same as the pic above, just message me huns, you're more than welcome to have it. For me, Im going to have to bin this trend.

Leopard print

I used to absolutely hate leopard/cheetah print with a passion, it can look so tacky. But the type of print they are doing I kind of like, especially how it is styled in the picture. A subtle hint of leopard can make an outfit pop, I mean that bag is heaven - especially for the winter time. I don't think this trend will last long, I think it will be a short time trend. Snakeskin print is trying to slither its way into fashion, but for me I will never be a fan of snakeskin. Overall, I like this trend so we can keep it. But you have heard it here, I don't think it will last long.

There are so many more trends I could talk about, prints and styles are constantly coming in and out of fashion - there is always something new. But remember, this is just my opinion, you could love a trend I hate, vis versa. Just wear what you want to wear and what you feel most comfortable in, don't just wear a bra on a night out because its in fashion but then feel naked in it? Wear it because it makes you feel good. Our clothes is a way a showing off our personality if we cant use our voice, you can guess a few things from what people wear and how they dress. I'm sorry this post is a few days late, I had some technical issues. Have a lovely evening tonight my angels, speak to you on Monday.

Lots of love Els xx
